Well, I am kinda confused. White Noise has action, it has scifi, there are aliens and space ships. But mostly, there is ANGST. And pretty boys. So I am confused. Do I have mostly male readers or female readers?! Cuz I can't tell anymore! *_*
Let me know.^^ Please post (here! In the blog! Not in the tagboard! Don't make me take that thing down!) and let me know your age and gender. So I can get a better feel for what kind of merch I should be offering you guys. Or girls. Lemme know!

Um, where's the WN blog? I'd love to participate in that, but I don't know where it is.
Honey, this is it! Just say right here.^^
Oh... *headdesk* Xb
Anyways, I'm a guy, just turned 18 this Novembre!
You should offer plush toys of every character in your store, but especially Lawler and Wren! ^_^
Seriously though, aim for unisex stuff, like posters and t-shirts.
Male, 1209. } : = 8 )
I ish girl, I ish drool'd over latest wallpaper :B
and I vote for plushie type creatures! and badass tshirts :3 and bags, because bags are useful.
Girl here! ^^ 21 years old...yeah, too old to be reading comics, i know...it's a clinical thing, i'm taking pills and having injections. :P Jokes aside, i'm not quite clear on why are you confused. I mean, what are you aiming for, girl readers or guys? Or you don't really know? :P
Either way, with WN you've managed to hit everything i like in a comic, the action, SF and angst, and personally i think it's going in the right direction. So i'm really looking forward to new pages and curious about how the story will develop. ^^ Cheers!
Thanks! I was just curious, really, not aiming for anybody in particular. Maybe people who like the kinda stories I like.^^ I did totally think I had mostly girls though. I'd love to have a fanbase cut down the middle.^^ But I'm not going to change the story if I have more one way or the other. The thing's already written save for minor details, there's no changing it now!
Well, it's only natural to have more girl fans, since you are a girl too and you are writing the comic the only way you can...the girl way, and having someone like Wren (a young, anime like, strong, genetically improved, fluffy tailed, good in hearth but sometimes unaware of his 'bad' actions, boy) in the story is only helping the situation. ^^
I'm a girl, 18 if that's relevant. :)
Girl reader over here, turned eighteen during the summer, if age is relevant.
male, 18.
Personally, I haven't seen anything that would indicate that the comic would be more appealing to either gender. It's just plain, old-fashioned good story telling. And great artwork, too.
} : = 8 )
I am a guy and I'm 20.
girl and im 26 XD
I'm a girl, 25. And I know my older brother also reads this comic as well.
I'm female and I turn 20 in three weeks. :D
XD, 27 year old girl here. :)
And I totally agree with Ilithi Dragon and the story and art.
female. 18
I continue to read stories I enjoy reading, with little regard for the personal views of the person writing the story or the intended audience. If it matters, I'm 34 and male.
27 year old male. Loving the comic. It's one of many that I read. Glad to see it updating again!!
I am 30, female, and addicted to webcomics. Looking forward to see where the story is going.
You've got another female reader here (I'll be nineteen in a couple of days if knowing the age group you're attracting helps). I really like the whole world you've made for this comic: it's good quality sci-fi, which is ridiculously hard to find nowadays.
male for the win
i read white noise cause i like the art style and the story
male, 20
I'm a girl and by the looks of it the youngest one... [>.> I didn't see the R rated thing on the web comic voting site tell after I half way through the comic. <.< Though the only thing I see that is close to R is the newest wallpaper]
I got a friend from school to start reading this as well, she is a little younger then me, so I guess I know I am not the youngest. I'm in 11th grade.
I would so buy a Winter plush if you get some. [Winter = my favorite]
I'm twenty-one and most definitely female.
And Flux, you're never too old to read comics! :D I read twenty-plus webcomics. ^.^
I'd really love buttons... I'd also really love money with which to purchase stuff. XD
I'm a girl and 16.
I'm 20 and male
It's the story that got me. the art is a very nice tuch to take the cake.
Mostly we're just the quiet type. ;)
male, erm... 32. Don't remember how long I've been reading. Maybe a year?
Enjoy the characters, very intrigued by the world and plot you've set up. Only wish is you had more time to devote to it ;)
-is a teenage female- xD
Thanks everybody! Good to know! Kirara, the R rating is for language and violence, which this comic has had in spades so far and will have even more of in the future. Also it's a preemptive rating for future sexual content. Relationships need to start happening first for that to be there though.^^
ya' got another male reader here
been reading for about three months
turns 16 in a couple of weeks
Male, 26. Hope that helps.
'nother guy. Also 20 :P
Female, 32. :)
Male, 21, and as it is probably somewhat relevant (especially considering the Christmas art) bi.
20 years old and female here. C:
I agree with unisex items. You'll sell more of those than anything else probably.
And also, I love buttons (when I can afford them) <3
I'm a girl, age 22. ^_^
I'm inclined to agree with llithi dragon. I'm just enjoying the story, and I don't think a good story has to be directed at one gender more than the other, and I don't think this one is.
I'm a 27 year old male. As far as comics go my interests range from very masculine to rather feminine. So I doubt there is much you could do to drive me away!
24 female...
I'm a guy, 21, and as far as I can tell the comic balances very well for guy/girl.
Female, 25.
People aren't as divided along gender or genre as we are led to believe. My husband loves daily-life dramas (YKK, Mana Khemia), and I prefer sci-fi and action. But he loved District 9, and I had to leave the theater after half an hour (it was good, but the realistic gore, and the fingernail...!!)
Female, 18,
Female and 19.
Honestly, though, I find your story fairly unisex~
Female and 23 years of age.
26, female and from germany (in case you were interested in your readers' geographical positions, too...)
love the comic and both wallpapers... :D
I am a female age 19. My boyfriend reads it too though.
Girl, 17 years old...Guess Im a little bit on the younger side when you look at all those 20 year olds
Well, so far it looks like the girls outnumber the guys 33-16, at least those who take time to comment. Just an FYI.
I'm 20, (human) male. (Bet that's very surprising)
I've been reading for about 3 months I guess, very much enjoying it. It has a very good mix of action and character related drama.
I'm not concerned with the story appealing to one group or another, I'm just curious to know if products targeting one group or another are worth it.^^ The story is written, I ain't changing it to appeal to one group or another. Thanks for the input, this is very helpful!
Male, 20.
guy, 21 years old and have been reading this comic for about as long as it has been online
Girl. 29. Not my usual genre of webcomics, but you have drawn me in! I'm loving the story.
Male. Just turned 18 this past October.
Girly; 21 :) Merry Christmas! Uh.. depending on your time zones..
male, 18.
and right now your web-comic is just great, so really, don't change things. I don't mind all the pretty boys and all the things which appeal to the girls, or whatever you think appeals for the guys. (yes, sci-fi is cool, but girls like it too, no?)
anyhow, I don't see why you need to know who your readers are, as you're doing a great job as it is.
maybe for wallpapers ^_^ but that's about it.
Female college student ;)
I am a male. But if I tell you my age... I'd have to kill you. And I don't wanna kill Snipes, because then we'd get no updates D:
I've been reading this comic for somewhere over five and a half years now (It's hard to say when I started). I still get to the comic through doomnstuff.com, even though White Noise has its own domain now ^^
I'm actually glad and surprised that this comic has gone on for as long as it as, while other good ones have finished (Inverloch) or stopped altogether (Flatwood)... I guess that just goes to show how great you are :D
Well, really long post aside, I'd say you're doing just fine. I don't see any reason why you'd end up with a male or female bias, and I like the direction you're going. And yes, Wren has amazing hair :D
P.S. Am I the only one that was expecting "...and I'm a Cylon" at any moment while reading through all those posts?
Male 23
Female, 21
26, male.
And, hoping that next year kicks ass for you!
Oh, an the whole R rating? Awesome! Can't wait!
Female, 19.
And I have a male friend, also 19, who also reads this.
I'm a girl, and I'm 19. On the tagboard thing I post as wheresmybook
23 y/o male, I love this comic and think it would be a sick movie. The whole scifi vibe, characters you can connect with , some kind of conspiracy (I think :D), it's all great stuff.
One question, there IS an ending right? :)
And now that I've started posting (see my comments about "risque" content), I guess I'll go back and do some more. This is kind of like time-travel ... only safer.
Errrr ... anyway, I'm a guy ... 54 years old (yes, fifty-four). And obviously still in touch with my geekiness. :D
male, 19
male, the Bi one crushing on wren (tunnelingcat) and im 16!
Female, 26. Greatest story ever.
=^.^= <3
I'm a female and I'm 30. Been reading comics since forever (from print based to web). I love the art and the story (I tend towards fantasy/scifi stories). I think what attracts me to certain webcomics is the art first then the story. But if the art is great but the story is boring, I tend to fall off after a while. I don't see that happening with WN though!
Male here. Although I do tend towards the hopeless romantic side of things...
I guess I should also mention the fact that I too am bi as well ... also crushing on Wren. Might be the cute fuzzy tail...
20 year old male here, been reading for a few months now, since the first Guttertalk podcast whenever that was.
